Patient Guide & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything patients ask us — about getting started, our services, insurance, and what to expect — in one searchable place. Can’t find your answer? Call 833-STEM561 and a real person will help.
Getting Started
What types of patients do you typically help?
Joint pain, sports injuries, foot and ankle problems, vein disease — and patients who want to understand what regenerative options realistically offer them. What they have in common is wanting to move without thinking about it.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment?
No. You can book with us directly — no referral needed.
Will I definitely need surgery for my condition?
Often not. A great deal of what we see responds to non-surgical or minimally invasive treatment. We recommend an operation when it is genuinely the better route, and say so plainly when it is not.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
A proper consultation, a review of your history, and imaging where it is warranted. You leave with a plan and the reasoning behind it, not a follow-up appointment to find out.
How soon can I see results from treatment?
That depends on the condition and the treatment. Some people improve within days; for others it builds gradually over weeks, and we will tell you which to expect.
How safe are regenerative medicine treatments?
They are performed by physicians, placed under imaging, and matched to what your scans show. We will also tell you where the evidence is strong and where it is still developing, rather than presenting all of it as settled.
Where are you located?
11380 Prosperity Farms Road, Suite 204–208, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 — serving Jupiter, North Palm Beach, Juno Beach, Tequesta, Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, and surrounding communities.
What are your office hours?
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Call 833-783-6561 (833-STEM561) to schedule.
Regenerative Medicine & Orthobiologic Therapies
What is regenerative medicine?
It uses biologic material — PRP, cellular treatments, peptides — to restart repair in tissue that has stopped healing on its own.
Are regenerative treatments safe?
Most use your own cells or screened biologic material, which is why they are generally well tolerated. Every plan is physician-supervised, and we will tell you when you are not a good candidate.
What conditions benefit from regenerative therapies?
Arthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, soft-tissue damage, sports injuries, and joint pain that has not resolved with conservative care.
How long does it take to see results?
Expect weeks rather than days. The first fortnight can feel like nothing is happening, and the fuller benefit builds across several months.
What is the difference between PRP and cellular therapy?
PRP delivers concentrated platelets from your own blood. Cellular and exosome treatments act further upstream, on the signalling that drives repair — generally reserved for more involved damage.
Can regenerative medicine replace surgery?
Sometimes it postpones surgery, and occasionally it removes the need. It will not rebuild a joint already worn to bone, and we would rather say so than sell you a course that cannot work.
Exosome Therapy
What is Exosome Therapy?
A regenerative medicine treatment that uses naturally occurring extracellular vesicles containing proteins, growth factors, and signaling molecules that help support the body’s healing response.
How is it different from stem cell therapy?
Exosome therapy is cell-free. Rather than delivering living cells, it delivers the biological signals that encourage your body’s own cells to communicate and repair.
Who is a candidate?
Candidacy is determined after a comprehensive consultation, imaging review, and physical examination.
Is the procedure painful?
Most patients experience only minimal discomfort during treatment, which is performed under ultrasound guidance.
How long does treatment take?
Most treatments are completed in less than one hour.
How soon will I see results?
Healing timelines vary depending on the condition treated and each patient’s individual response.
Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy
What is Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy?
A regenerative medicine treatment that uses umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells selected for their regenerative signaling properties to support the body’s natural healing response.
Who is a good candidate?
Candidacy is determined after a comprehensive consultation, medical history review, physical examination, and imaging assessment.
Is the procedure surgical?
No — it’s a minimally invasive treatment performed in the office using ultrasound guidance.
How long does the procedure take?
Most treatments are completed in less than one hour, allowing many patients to return to light activity quickly.
How soon will I notice improvement?
Recovery varies for every patient. Some begin noticing improvement within weeks; others see gradual progress over the following months.

Wharton’s Jelly Therapy
What is Wharton’s Jelly Therapy?
A regenerative medicine treatment that uses umbilical cord tissue rich in naturally occurring growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular matrix proteins to support the body’s natural healing response.
How does Wharton’s Jelly Therapy work?
Rather than replacing damaged tissue, Wharton’s Jelly provides biologically active components that help support healthy cell communication and tissue repair.
Who is a candidate for treatment?
Your physician will determine whether Wharton’s Jelly Therapy is appropriate after reviewing your medical history, symptoms, physical examination, and diagnostic imaging.
Is the procedure surgical?
No. Wharton’s Jelly Therapy is a minimally invasive treatment performed in the office using ultrasound guidance.
How long does treatment take?
Most procedures are completed in less than one hour, allowing many patients to resume light activities shortly afterward.

MUSE-Infused RPA™ Therapy
What is MUSE-Infused RPA™ Therapy?
An acellular regenerative medicine treatment that combines Regenerative Protein Array™ technology with proteins extracted from MUSE cells to support the body’s natural healing response through protein signaling rather than living cells.
How is it different from Traditional MUSE Cell Therapy?
Traditional MUSE Cell Therapy uses living MUSE cells, while MUSE-Infused RPA Therapy uses an acellular protein fraction enhanced with proteins from MUSE cells.
How is treatment administered?
Treatment may be provided through IV push or targeted injection as part of your personalized treatment plan.
Who may be a candidate?
Your physician will determine whether MUSE-Infused RPA Therapy is appropriate after reviewing your symptoms, medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic imaging.
How long does treatment take?
Most regenerative medicine procedures are completed in under one hour, although treatment times vary depending on your individualized care plan.
Does insurance cover treatment?
Regenerative medicine therapies are generally self-pay services and are not covered by insurance or Medicare.
Traditional MUSE® Cell Therapy
What is Traditional MUSE® Cell Therapy?
A regenerative medicine treatment using a live-cell preparation containing Multilineage-Differentiating Stress-Enduring (MUSE) cells, a rare subpopulation of mesenchymal stem cells.
How is it different from other regenerative therapies?
Traditional MUSE Cell Therapy uses living MUSE cells, whereas some other regenerative therapies rely primarily on signaling molecules or acellular components.
How is the treatment administered?
Depending on your individualized treatment plan, therapy may be administered through IV push or targeted injection.
Who may be a candidate?
Your physician will determine candidacy after reviewing your medical history, physical examination, symptoms, and diagnostic imaging.
How long does the procedure take?
Most regenerative medicine procedures are completed in less than one hour, although timing varies depending on your personalized treatment plan.
Is Traditional MUSE Cell Therapy surgical?
No. It is a minimally invasive regenerative medicine treatment performed without traditional orthopedic surgery.
Advanced Non-Surgical Therapies
What does EPAT shockwave therapy feel like?
Most patients describe strong pulses over the treatment area — brief and well-tolerated, with no anesthesia needed and no downtime afterward.
How many sessions will I need?
Protocols vary by condition; many tendon and heel-pain protocols involve a short series of weekly sessions. Your specialist will map this out at your evaluation.
Is there downtime after these therapies?
Minimal — most patients return to normal activity right away, with temporary soreness possible after shockwave sessions.
Can these treatments be combined with PRP or other biologics?
Yes — combination protocols are common and often produce synergistic results. Your plan will sequence therapies for the best outcome.
Vein Care — Medical & Cosmetic
What causes varicose and spider veins?
The one-way valves that keep blood moving upward stop sealing, so blood falls back and pools, stretching the vein. Family history, pregnancy, age and hours spent standing all raise the odds.
What is the difference between medical and cosmetic vein care?
Medical treatment addresses symptoms and circulation, and insurance often covers it where symptoms justify it. Cosmetic work is about appearance and is elective. Many patients need some of both.
Is vein treatment painful?
Not meaningfully. Local anaesthetic covers the procedure itself, and afterwards most people describe mild soreness rather than pain.
How long until I can resume normal activities?
Most people walk out and carry on the same day. What you should avoid, and for how long, depends on which procedure you had.
Sclerotherapy
What causes varicose and spider veins?
Weakened vein valves and venous reflux cause blood pooling; risk factors include genetics, pregnancy, prolonged standing, and age.
Is vein treatment painful?
Most procedures use local anesthesia or numbing techniques and involve minimal discomfort; post-procedure soreness is usually mild.
How long until I can resume normal activities?
Patients often resume light activity the same day, with specific guidance based on the procedure performed.
Is sclerotherapy covered by insurance?
Medical vein care — treating symptoms and circulation problems — is often covered; cosmetic treatment is usually elective. We verify your benefits before treatment.
Endovenous Laser & RF Ablation
What causes varicose and spider veins?
Weakened vein valves and venous reflux cause blood pooling; risk factors include genetics, pregnancy, prolonged standing, and age.
Do varicose veins come back after treatment?
Treated veins are closed permanently, but new veins can develop over time — structured follow-up and prevention strategies minimize recurrence.

Medical care treats symptoms and circulation problems and is often covered by insurance; cosmetic care improves appearance and is usually elective.
Neuropathy Restoration Program
What symptoms does the program address?
Peripheral neuropathy symptoms including burning or tingling, numbness, sharp or shooting pain, and weakness or instability.
How is this different from just taking nerve pain medication?
Medications often mask symptoms. This program combines systemic IV support, regenerative injections, laser, ultrasound, and diagnostics to target the root cause of nerve damage.
What happens after the program?
If improved, monthly maintenance options are available. Partial improvement may warrant additional regenerative injections. A persistent focal nerve issue may be evaluated for a targeted nerve release procedure.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed — book a consultation directly and our team will evaluate whether the program fits your situation.
Medical Weight Loss & GLP-1 Program
What medications are available?
Our physician-supervised solutions include compounded therapies and FDA-approved GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic® and Wegovy® (both semaglutide) and Zepbound® (tirzepatide) — prescribed only when appropriate for you.
How much does the program cost?
Plans start at $239 per month; your exact program depends on the medication and monitoring plan your physician recommends.
Is GLP-1 therapy safe?
GLP-1 therapy should always be prescribed and monitored by a qualified medical professional. Outcomes and treatment response differ from person to person — our physicians screen carefully and monitor you throughout.
When will I see results?
Many patients notice appetite changes within the first two weeks and early weight loss over the first month; individual results vary.
Peptide Therapy
What is peptide therapy?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules in the body. Peptide therapy uses targeted, physician-prescribed protocols to support processes like tissue repair, inflammation control, sleep, and recovery.
How much does it cost?
Peptide programs start at $249 per month. Your exact protocol and cost are set at consultation based on your goals.
Is it supervised by a physician?
Yes. Every protocol is prescribed and monitored by our physicians, and compounds are sourced from licensed U.S. 503A/503B pharmacies.
Can peptides be combined with other treatments?
Yes — peptide protocols are frequently paired with regenerative injections, shockwave or laser therapy, IV therapy, and rehabilitation. Our team coordinates the timing.
Who is not a candidate?
Candidacy depends on your medical history, medications, and goals. Some patients are not appropriate for peptide therapy, and our physicians will tell you honestly at consultation.
GHK-Cu Peptide Therapy
What is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a copper-binding peptide your body already makes — it is present in plasma, saliva and urine. Published work examines what it does in tissue remodelling, wound repair and cellular regeneration.
What might GHK-Cu be used to support?
We consider it where connective tissue is the bottleneck — repair that has stalled, collagen quality, tendon and joint health, remodelling after injury, or inflammation that will not settle.
How much does it cost?
Peptide programs start at $249 per month. Your exact protocol and cost are set at consultation based on your goals.

KPV Peptide Therapy
What is KPV?
KPV is a three-amino-acid fragment derived from alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Research interest centres on its anti-inflammatory activity and its effect on immune signalling.
What might KPV be used to support?
Usually for the patient whose inflammation never fully resolves: the joint that stays irritable, ongoing soft-tissue irritation, or an overuse injury that keeps flaring.
How much does it cost?
Peptide programs start at $249 per month. Your exact protocol and cost are set at consultation based on your goals.

Tesamorelin Therapy
What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic form of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It signals the pituitary to produce more growth hormone rather than supplying the hormone itself.
What might Tesamorelin be used to support?
Typically where healing is slower than the injury warrants, lean mass is dropping, visceral fat will not shift, or growth-hormone levels have declined with age.
How much does it cost?
Peptide programs start at $249 per month. Your exact protocol and cost are set at consultation based on your goals.

MOTS-c Peptide Therapy
What is MOTS-c?
MOTS-c is encoded in mitochondrial DNA and takes part in how cells regulate energy — most relevantly in muscle, where mitochondria do the bulk of the work.
What might MOTS-c be used to support?
Where the limiting factor is the tank rather than the injury — fatigue tracking with training load, endurance dropping off, or flat energy arriving with age.
How much does it cost?
Peptide programs start at $249 per month. Your exact protocol and cost are set at consultation based on your goals.

Concierge & Direct-Pay Care
Who is concierge care best for?
Anyone who cannot spend six weeks in a referral queue, values privacy, or simply wants to deal with the surgeon directly rather than through a front desk.
Are diagnostics and procedures performed the same day?
Often, yes — where it is clinically appropriate. We will not compress something into one day if doing it properly takes two.
Do you take insurance for concierge services?
Concierge and bundled services are direct-pay at a quoted price. Plenty of what we do elsewhere in the practice does run through major insurance, and we will show you both routes before you choose.
What is included in bundled pricing?
Each bundle is built around a procedure or a recovery programme, with the inclusions written down and explained before you commit to anything.
IV Therapy & Wellness
How long does an infusion take?
Usually 30 to 60 minutes, depending on which formula you are having and the rate it runs at.
Are IV infusions safe?
Yes. Nothing starts without a medical pre-screen, a clinician supervises the session, and every solution is sterile and pharmaceutical grade.
When will I notice benefits?
Plenty of people notice something the same afternoon. The metabolic and cellular effects build more slowly, over days and across repeat sessions.
Can I combine IV therapy with other treatments?
Yes, and it usually is. We will sequence it around your rehabilitation or other treatment rather than running the two blind to each other.
How often should I receive infusions?
It depends what you are after. Recovering from something acute may warrant a short run of sessions; maintenance is often monthly.
Are there side effects?
Uncommon, and minor when they happen — some bruising at the site, occasionally brief lightheadedness. You are monitored throughout.
Do you offer packages for athletes or post-op recovery?
Yes. There are protocols built for training blocks, for recovery after an operation, and for patients on an ongoing programme.
Insurance & Payment
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We work with most major insurance providers and will help verify your coverage before treatment.
What if a service isn’t covered by my plan?
For uninsured services we offer flexible payment plans and transparent direct-pay options so care remains accessible.
What is bundled cash pricing?
Concierge and direct-pay services are offered with clear, upfront bundled pricing for procedures and recovery programs — no billing surprises.
Is vein treatment covered by insurance?
Medical vein care that treats symptoms and circulation problems is often covered; cosmetic vein care is usually elective. We verify benefits for you.
How much is the medical weight loss program?
Physician-supervised weight loss plans start at $239 per month, depending on the medication and monitoring your physician recommends.
